Does anyone use Microsoft Office 365?

I'm thinking about switching all my office and email over to Office 365 (the $20 a month / user account) and was wondering what the general consensus was on it?

I know that it includes desktop copies of Microsoft Office applications but I have been unable to find exactly which of the Office apps are included. Does it come with Project and Visio desktop / web app versions?

Paying $20 a month per user is a pretty attractive price point, especially when you factor in the email hosting and online document storage as well.

MS now do Office 365 versions of both Project and Visio but as they aren't part of the standard offering you may have to pay a premium to use these.

Q

Quest Cloud Solutions Ltd

Is it just the Microsoft Office suite you want to be highly available to you, or do you need other applications? If so, you may want to consider more bespoke virtual desktop or virtual private server solutions... the price is a bit higher of course, but it may suit you better?

Cheers,

Ryan

I use Office 365 and imho it offers good functionality and good value. For £15/pcm you get a full email package with spam/virus scanning taken care of, Lync which offers instant messaging & free VOIP calls with any other Lync users, Sharepoint as well as Office Professional Plus to install on up to 5 devices per user. With any cloud solution there will be concerns about data security/data location etc but with most business networks allowing remote access in some way I don't feel the risk is significant.

Yes and love it.

What a great way to get the latest software, features etc (and yes, I do use a lot of them) without the huge pain that occurs around my wallet area.

I wouldn't rule it out for email since you get a 25Gb per mailbox with it, never known anyone to fill one yet!!
If you need any help with O365 setup, pricing, trials etc let us know
we are support partners. ;)

Have fun with it!

I run my own email servers so having 25GB of space isn't really that much of a selling point for me.
