Hello,

I was planning to distribute some flyers for a product promotion, outside an exhibition - as I was too late to book a stand.

The idea was to hand out the leaflets just outside the perimeter gate of the exhibition hall,

Has anyone any experience or ideas if this is do able ?

thanks in advance folks!

Dan

You can't be serious right? It is obvious that you really shouldn't be doing this which is why you are asking!

If potential customers see you hanging out flyers illegally it will be bad PR for your company. Is it ever worth it?

You would be better off getting a list of visitors and arranging meetings with them on site to discuss your business and offerings. It would certainly be more professional, not to mention ethical.

I really liked tomp1986's reply !

The OP wants to attend a trade show, but misses out for whatever reason.

Could be end of story there.

But no, undaunted, he decides he will go anyway and hand out leaflets outside.

You cant do that - they say - it's illegal / bad PR etc etc.

Could be end of story there.

But no, undaunted, he stands outside with his leaflets.

That's no good - the Police will be called.

Could be end of story there.

But no, undaunted, he calculates that he can get 30 minutes or so handing out leaflets before the Police arrive and move him on !

Is this right - is this wrong ? I don't know, but I do know that it's certainly not what I would do - but then again, I can almost guarantee I wont be a multi millionaire either :-(

This sort of story is the stuff you read in many books about those who have suceeded in life - they bent the rules, they improvised, adapted and overcame.

Just my 2p anyway

All the best

Steve
