Hi
Just had a £200 order through and the delivery address is to aramex House but the card is UK and passed 3d secure and all postcode, address, cv2 checks. The guy is in Qatar. Would you send it? I have sent some small orders to this address before and haven't had any problems but have also cancelled some as the countries are ones I would never ship too. Anyone had any chargebacks for orders going to this third party address as surely i'm not covered as it's going to a different address and the guy can't sign for it.
Thanks
Lianne

I've shipped via Aramex before, they're just a mailbox service giving overseas customers a UK address for delivery. Only done a few but never had an issue, they signed for the parcel showing it was delivered to them, it's then their responsibility for the onward shipping.

Thought I'd add to this thread.

We didn't used to ship to Aramex house because feared levels of fraud but so far it's been OK.

But today I had a customer say she didn't get her goods we sent to her via Aramex House.

She had not put her box number on the delivery address. I phoned Aramex house and they said with no box number and no tracking number (was sent first class mail) the goods would be held for 60 days before being destroyed.

Destroyed, mind, not returned to sender. So if you take an order from Aramex house make doubly sure there is a box number on the address.

If she had ordered with a tracked service but no box number then the customer could contact Aramex and get her parcel, but they would make an extra charge to her for this.

We've never had a problem with Aramex House, box number or no box number, they still seem to get to their destination with the box holder's name.

Never had a chargeback from there. All our customers using the address have been from the Middle East which does not seem linked with fraud.

used by a lot of wealthy gulf states, obviously there is a liklihood it could be used by scammers based in the gulf. I sell b2b stuff that is not likely to be seen as high profile targets by scammers so for me it's fairly safe. If you're dealing with nomral stuff that scammers target like phones and tablets I'd be a bit concerned.

An interesting development on the Aramex House front.. Tried to book in a delivery of large goods through TNT via Interparcel. Got the payment page and it would not process, instead, a message popped up stating that their was an issue with my payment method and to call them quoting a ref no. Did so accordingly and they advised there was nothing wrong with my payment card but that they no longer accept deliveries to Aramex House.. The CS rep was very cagey and just said we can't discuss the reasons.. Was able to book through another broker but still - very interesting!
