Hi people!!

I am sure that almost everywhere people have a snack before and after lunch time. And the reseons can be different : a hunger, a stress, a boredom, etc.
On the one hand it's a very unpleasant thing and it looks unpolite when a customer enters your office and sees a secretary chewing something or drinking tie.
On the other hand it's not hygienic and and causes a spread of microbes.

What do you think about it? Do you eat at your work place?

I do. I would not get anything to eat if I didn't. Each client I work for has a different policy/culture on what, when, and where.

However, the SMBs I have invested in are a bit of a mixed bag. The more professional sevices based ones never have anyone eating in front of clients. Cover is provided for pa/reception to allow lunch to taken out of sight. For the more practical (trade) skills basesd companies, it depends on the type of work but the principle seems to be the more messy the work the more likely they are to eat in situ.

Yes Anne your right your desk, well in most offices has more bacteria then your toliet.

Do I eat at work, the only time i stop eating is when i am sleeping which isn't enough recenty.

But I agree, if a cleint came into the office I would not eat anything and expect people to do the same.

In fact Me and the Girlfreind went out for a meal with the director of our biggest contract and his wife last friday as he wanted to say thank you for doing an extra serive not in the contract, and I hated eating infront of them then.

Think I have a problem eating infront of people whos opinion on me could influnece me directy weather it be potentail in laws or cleints.
