Do BT offer faster broadband (either business or consumer) than 76Mbps?

I seem to remember reading on multiple tech sites that BT were in the process of rolling out 330Mbps fibre broadband and that they would be releasing it soon. But I can't find any mention of this on their website at all. When looking at their website they only seem to advertise a leased line as the only option which is faster.

I'm starting a YouTube channel and regularly need to upload 2GB+ files to YouTube so my current 200Mbps down / 10Mbps up is pretty slow. I was hoping that BT would offer something a bit faster. I know their top end business BT Infinity product offers 19Mbps up but that would mean taking a huge hit on our download speed which would drop from 200Mbps to 76Mbps which is a bit slow for our use case.

Can anyone offer any advice? Or am I stuck with really expensive products like leased lines (which really are not an option since I can't afford it nor will I be able too in the future unless something amazing happens like I win the lottery).

There is FTTP with is available to a limited number of premises across the UK and offers 330Mbps. It's had a shaky start really with costs changing, then being suspended due to Openreach getting their pricing structure, then coming back with increased pricing.

We can provide it, but over all our accounts we've only done 2 or 3 because it's either not been available or the install costs being prohibitive.

Hopefully it's a start though and will develop into something over time.

Ah that is a shame. Just used an availability checker and it is not available in my area. Am I completely out of luck or is there some other service that offers a decent upload rate?

Virgin Business are due to launch faster services this year, and Openreach are in very early trials of much faster speeds over FTTC. So other than the more expensive option there isn't much to jump at right now.

I'll keep my eyes open. I might have to take the download rate hit to get the upload speed increased to 19Mbps in the mean time. Might be a good time to switch off Virgin Media completely and go back to Sky for TV and BT for broadband.

Alas I can't afford that which is a shame. I'd love that upload speed though it would really speed things up for me on a daily basis.

You can achieve 20Mbps Upload on standard FttC 80Mbps Download speed service depending on your distance from the exchange and other factors. If you choose a Business Broadband service then there will be little to no contention in most cases. There are of course many suppliers of this service but don't just consider cost if you are looking for a quality business service.

if you have a good techie friend I think you should investigate a trick I have heard of. Don't shoot the messenger please..!!! I think it goes something like this have 2 broadband services coming into your base you can link them together by a "thingymegig" - hence the need for techie advice!! and then the speeds in both directions are enhanced.
I think that is how it works. I dont think the "thingymegig" is expensive. :)

Yes. This is another possibility and is called 'Bonding'.
