My wife setup a ltd company last summer but, due to a few reasons which i wont bore everyone with, the ltd company was never used.

She now intends to dissolve this company but doesnt know where to start.

Could someone on here give me a step by step guide on what we would need to do? Do we inform both companies house and HMRC? As no transactions took place would i need to send off a dormant accounts form?

Many thanks

If the company has never traded just follow Andrews link and look at 'striking-off' - its a really simple procedure and costs £10. If the company was never registered with HMRC you dont need to inform them now.
