The survey would be more useful if you asked why people would want funding. For example, they may need money for tools, machinery, building extension, materials and so on. Some funding methods are more suitable than others for.

An age group missing?
yer there was but I added added it just after I realised.

That would be a good point which I will add to the final report. But It would make the process of analysing the results a bit more time to consume which I dont have the time for unfortunately.

Depends what results you want.
Just seems a tad limited for a dissertation survey.

I agree, it's not telling you much useful information. Even limiting it to startups doesn't give you the full picture. For example you could have an established company that needs funding for a new venture and is using seed capital with crowdfunding. It's also possible that a company may crowdfund to build the prototype, a loan to pay for marketing and then a share issue to pay for production. There is rarely one single answer to anything.

Hi @mattr888

Did the survey with some fatuous replies because I’m not your target customer

However my background is entirely in the business finding sector. I have built 2 businesses in this sector and have also trained and mentored many start ups under a government scheme

If you want me to answer any questions, or to bounce thoughts and ideas, please feel free to DM me and I will be happy to help (I won’t do your dissertation for you though)
