Hi

I am looking for help and guidance on mortgages for directors. I have found a few companies online and looking to enquire but would highly appreciate if anyone here could recommend anyone? Mortgage is for around 200k

Thanks

Is there more to it than just you being a director?

I ask because that alone doesn't stop you with many high street banks. I found Nationwide & Skipton both approved me for their best rates when I bought last year, even though I'm a director with low salary/high divs.

I did speak to one specialist 'self employed/co. director mortgages' broker (spoiler: he was a crap one, I know there are good ones out there) and he took my income details etc and credit file, came back and said the best he could get me was 2/3 of what Skipton would lend me, at 3 x the interest rate. :D I went with Skipton in the end...

Can't post links yet but if you google Martland Mortgages you'll find a chap called Graham, based in Southport but covers the whole of the UK. Really knows his onions. 01704 808286 (hopefully it's ok to post phone numbers, not my business).

I'd reiterate other advice, for anything remotely non-standard, use a Broker. They may charge fees but you'll end up with a deal that suits you rather than some spotty-faced 'advisor' on the High Street.
