Hello,

We are looking at setting up GoCardless for clients that have recurring payments for our services. We currently set this up via our card processor whereby we can schedule payments to be automatically taken via their card which is securely stored on the card processors system.

Are there benefits to switching to something like GoCardless instead of using a card processor like WorldPay or Sage?

Thanks for the insight!

As a merchant, both achieve roughly the same thing.

A plus point for GoCardless is the lower fees.

This should help give some insight:

It goes without saying GoCardless may be a bit biased. I know for example one of the main issues with card payments (customers having to update their details) is becoming less of a problem - some card processors now work with the networks to automatically update card details when replacement cards are issued.
