Hi Guys,

I'm doing quite well for my key search term which is wedding video cardiff on google.co.uk (page 1 3rd) but not so well on google.com (page 2 3rd).

What's the reason google treats my site differently for the same term on the different sites? Is there anything i can do to improve it?

Google.co.uk delivers results relevent to UK customers, so for example, .co.uk domains or domains set to the uk as their geographical preference. Basically UK customers generally want to deal with UK companies.

Google.com delivers to a worldwide audience, mainly the US, & so a UK wedding video outfit in cardiff is unlikely to be very relevent to those customers, & hence won't rank so well.

In fact, can you imagine anyone in the US ever searching for wedding video companies in cardiff?

No need to worry really since 99.99% of your customers will come from the UK, & google tends to reset your browser to google.co.uk even if you type in google.com

Thanks for the replies so far.

My main concern was that people might tend to search using google.com rather than co.uk - I know I do.

Also, for example, The Google search box within the Safari browser on my MAC uses google.com as does the google toolbar I use to search in Windows.
