Hi,
i currently have 3 websites, one of them is in my business name.com and the other is different but selling same products. And the 3rd site is where all the billing is done for both sites.

How would i legally do it so i just register the 1 business name, is it just a case of using the same terms and conditions for all sites (On the billing site).

Example.

xyz.com - currently registered xyz
abc.com
payments.com - both sites use billing and support tickets for both sites through here.

Thanks

If you're a sole trader then you don't register your business name (although you may be able to register a trademark). You would just put Your name Trading as abc on one site and Your Name trading as xyz on the other site.

If you do decide to form a limited company, you can call it whatever you like (as long as it isn't already taken) and then your invoices would state Your Company Ltd trading as abc and Your Company Ltd trading as xyz.

If you have a limited company you would quote the company name in the terms; it is similar for other business types like organisations and sole traders, you state the business name.

You need not mention the specific website names although you can in a generic T&C. Some T&C templates will list websites the business operates under. I recommend you list the domain names as it eases confusion and makes things more transparent. i.e. money.xyz could be operated by We Snack Instantly Post Cash Ltd (made up from adverts on the right lol) - you as a customer would always refer to the domain name not the company in your communications.
