Design online facility

Hi Guys,

We currently have the facility to design all our products online, the system allows for stock images and upload of images, the canvas is scaled to the correct proportions based upon the sizes set prior to checkout. You can see how it works if you pick a product, add to cart and pick the design online option in checkout. (this is all before payment section). Once the design is complete, the system saves a vector SVG file which my design team can use to create the print file with a few adjustments.

The facility is quite old now and doesn't work well on a tablet or phone, can anyone help me with the best way to improve this feature and bring it up to date with current devices?

Sounds like you're looking for a developer to improve or rebuild it? If so we've worked on similar systems such as "T Shirt Ecommerce" for OpenCart, but it might be worth telling us what platform it's build on.

It appears to be using an open source SVG editor which perhaps hasn't been updated on your site for a long time. If the same editor has been improved since your website was updated it should be an easy job for a skilled person to install an update, or (a bit harder) to replace it with a similar component. This will likely mean that it will work better on newer devices.
To be fair, it's never going to be easy to design something on a phone screen but it would be viable on a tablet.

I think your website is using this - https://github.com/SVG-Edit in an iframe implementation or something similar.

As for the version and if upgrade would help, I can' tell from the frontend. I can see the version of jquery it uses was released on November 21, 2011 though.
