Hi

Given the sky high commission rates I'm paying, 30% ex vat to deliveroo and 35% ubereats, and their unwillingness to negotiate, I wonder what other independents in the area are paying and whether they managed to negotiate a lower %?

I've just signed up to ubereats but on deliveroo we're averaging 3500-4000 sales pw over c.200 orders. We're in the north west london area.

Any other figures and experiences out there?

Hi, I am looking at using Deliveroo, no Uber Eats in my area currently use Just Eat. You say they charge commission on the total order price is this including delivery fees? I know Just Eat charge commision and VAT on the delivery and card fee is this the same for Deliveroo and Uber Eats?

We're a restaurant offering eat in and take away. As anyone who uses deliveroo and uber knows, they charge a commission on the whole order value.

Be good to hear from other independent restaurant owners as to what they pay

I guess then deliveroo/UE are not *that* bad considering they handle the orders and the delivery element (granted I know some areas have real problems with the reliability of this)
There is of course the huge advertising spend/brand recognition of having your establishment on these.

There is a certain takeaway that we order at least weekly from in the office and always did this via JE until they said ring up and order for 10% off!
