If you are selling hot food ie it's warmed, heated, fried etc on the premises you will need a A5 licence. If you have this already you are allowed deep fat fryers, gas pizza oven, bain marie, hot cabinets etc.. you will need extraction fan and necessary paperworks for fire and safety of your employees. There are also A1 and A3 licences which are sub licences for say cafe think that one is A1 but again it depends on what you are serving ie just sandwiches no actual flames used ie gas, will be different class. Less regulations but restricted in use You need to ask the council tell them exactly what you are offering and they should be able to point you to the right direction.
