data protection act

Hi legal people.
If you ask someone for permission to pass on their details. Is this enough to cover you under the data protection act.

IE. "By ticking this box you are agreeing to justcarsonline Ltd passing on your details to a maximum of 3 dealers so they may contact you with details of vehicles that match your request"

am i missing anything?
Thanks
Michael

Without looking into it in depth what you have said should be OK. Are you sure you wish to limit it to 3 dealers and not just say 'other dealers'?

The tick box will need to be an option, that way they will have 'opted-in'

I trust you have terms and conditions on your website, if not please feel free to contact me by email below.

Best wishes

Hi Michael

Happy to have a quick look at your terms/conditions later. You will also need to ensure you are registered with the Information Commissioners at around £35/year.

As for the CLK. My stay here in Georgia was extended yet again. However I am leaving on Friday and will look again. I had some very good quotes for the CLK I was after.
