data licences help please?

I'ev been looking all over the internet but nowhere really breaks it down enough for me:

if im buying data, what if different between the types of licence?
eg single, multiple etc?

and how are the licences enforced? i know that theyre to do with the data protection act, is it just a case of being against the law if you used a data under a single license more than once?

It's not a DP issue. Primarily it's a contractual issue. Read what the licence says - that tells you the rules of this particular relationship. So provided you stick to the rules, no issue arises. If you breach the licence, the licensor may take action through the Courts for the damages they suffer by reason of your breach.
