Currently having a website designed/created for my new company, I want to use a review site for several reasons :- Customer trust, wider recognition of company etc..

TrustPilot is crazy expensive for businesses, starting at around £70.00 Per month. Are there any other cheaper/free options?

Try freeindex. I use it, every review you can choose to automatically post to Twitter, add gadgets that display your reviews to your website, simply just copy and paste the code they give you.

You can also choose categories you'd like your business to be seen in, 3 infact. 1 primary which will display a rank (optional) on your review page. The rank will be out of x number of companies in that category.

That's just a few of their best features. Give them a try, absolutely free of charge.

We use eKomi. They offered us three months free then a great deal. They automatically send an email to customers at x days after they have placed the order.

The nice thing is, if you get a really bad review it goes into mediation which gives you the chance to put things right and the reviewer the chance to modify their review before it's posted.

We've had a couple of bad reviews from people for things that were out of our control or even their own fault. i.e. entering a delivery address or date wrong. When weve spoken to the customer to put it right they've been really impressed and modified their bad review to reflect the extra service they'v received.

Freeindex is quite popular, but also what about Google? If you have a Google+ business page you can get reviews directly on that.

Google will consolidate your reviews from around the web from trustpilot / freeindex etc but reviewing you straight into your Google+ profile might be an easier option if your clients have Google accounts.

I have used freeindex for a long time but always find it extremely difficult to get customers to leave reviews. The problem is that they have to sign up to freeindex before they can leave their review which the majority find very off-putting.

Are you sure?

I thought there was a way to send them a link within freeindex and they were then able to just post a review without the need to sign up. I could be wrong, but I'm sure I saw it only a few months ago.

It is already out in America and is called Trusted Stores.

I would imagine that as it has the Google brand attached to it, it will be the market leader in a short time.

Search about it on Google, I wanted to post a link but am too new!

Cheers
