I will agree with consukltantuk debt collection. Its a business that everyone has a need for.

Depends on what scale of business you're looking at.

If your not particularly skilled in anything and want something with relatively cheap start up costs, then a burger van or ice cream van is a good place to start. If you have some funds, then upgrade to a fish & chip shop, pie-shop, pizza or burger takeaway. This kind of business is a cash generator for you if you get the right location and good staff (or do yourself).

If you've good technical/IT skills, then there's loads of potential for online services, such as ISPs, virtual servers, online backups, data sharing, "cloud" computing for existing types of software such as accounting, CRM, etc etc.

Oil, just look at the top ten most profitable companies in the world. Will continue to be for the next couple of decades or so. Also finance of course, there's money in money. (pay day loans, hedge funds etc)
