Cropping Tool / Programme Needed? Any ideas?

Hello All,

I am looking for a Cropping Tool / Programme Needed?

I used to have one on an old pc but have completely forgotten the name of it.

At the moment i am print screening everything then cropping it out in paint at the moment and it can take sometime.

Any ideas?

Are you using Windows 7 ?

If so look in your start menu for the "Snipping Tool"

I also go the extra step and assign a short cut key to it (right click > properties > Shortcut Key)

So when in any prog I click CTRL+ALT+S to bring up the tool then select the area of screen I wish to take a copy of

Assuming you taking screenshots from webpages you could use an add-on like fireshot (getfireshot.com) on you web browser (FF, IE and chrome supported). Nice thing is it screenshots only the viewport.

If you're looking for a freed editor other than windows pain get Paint.net, which is free and open source so loads of plugins from the community for free

I totally support using Paint.net which is (almost like) a free version of Photoshop for editing screenshots or other images. Another option would be GIMP, but you need to be a little more of a pro to use that IMO.
