Is anyone using any alternatives to Creditsafe for company credit reports. Are they any good? How much are you paying?

I use Creditsafe but also use their marketing data service as well as the credit reporting service. Having said that, the data is a bit iffy, a lot of addresses are the registered office address rather than the trading address which isn't much good for mailshotting etc.

Duedil can provide a lot of information on their free service. Or you can subscribe for more detail if you need it for your business.

Duedil (DD) and CreditSafe(CS) use identical CompaniesHouse(CH) data with caching and updating based on popularity (the more people watching a company the more frequently they will poll CH for data on that company). I think CS has more links into other international and agency databases though (at cost).

Depending on how much detail you want then Duedil free will do the job.

We've been using CS for years, since before DD had enough volume to become the service it now is. I believe the CS TOS forbids me from disclosing our pricing, it also depends on volume. Our searches and watched companies are pretty optimised and it's not a critical service for us, so we negociate/refuse prices renewal down until they walk away, wait, then try and get it a bit cheaper still I am sure CS will do you a free trial if you ask, just be prepared for the hard sell.
