Credit Checking Agencies

Can anyone recommend a good credit checking agency where we can do single reports on a pay as you go basis? We are a micro construction business and unfortunately we were taken for a large sum last year after Final Demand had given us bad advice about the main contractors financial status. Final Demand are now in liquidation so there is nothing we can do about the incorrect information they gave to us unfortunately.

We have been signed up for 12 months to Credit Safe who give a fantastic service, but are out of our budget, especially as we probably only need to carry out half a dozen checks a year. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

My friend has worked for this company for years, I cant recommend them in terms as I have never used them, but they are a small company and maybe able to offer the service you require - creditcollections.co.uk

I am building a site to do just have - offer credit reports without having to pay for it. Currently we are only offering companies house data, you have to work out the credit risk yourself but we have developed our own algorithm and once the coders have finished integrating that it will be available for all 3.9million UK companies in our database.
