Creating PDF Files

I was wondering if anyone can help. Does anyone create PDF files on here? Where would i find someone to do this? How much do people charge for this service? Are they any tutorials to help me with this? I need them to be well design so would probably be best left to a designer?

If anyone can help i would be really greatful. Would i get good discounts if i could guarantee 'x' amount of PDF's per week?

As Alisdair said, pdf is a file format.

What sort of design do you need done when you say pdf's? Is it business cards, flyers, stationery etc...

You aren't therefore asking for someone to create pdf's, your asking for someone to design stationery and print work.

If you need invoices etc designed then these can be easily set up using Acrobat, just use a simple letterhead design as the template.

Give us more information exactly what your after.

As has been pointed out, the CutePDF's, NitroPDF's of this world install a virtual printer subsystem.

You "print" your document to the virtual printer; it then generates a pdf which you can save wherever you want.

Office 2007/2010 have built in functionality to save directly to pdf - same thing effectively.

Well i think it would just be design work needed then. I am looking at putting something together on Yudu, the page turning software, and it says i just need to attach the pdf files to create each page. I would be able to get the content together, i would just need someone with a keen eye for design to make it look good. I could offer 1,500 pages over the year period. I have been quoted £50 per page for this, as once the initial design is done for say a border and theme etc, it would just be adding the content, and laying it all out.

What am I missing?

Surely the design relates only to the layout or content??

Turning it into a PDF takes just moments and a couple of clicks :|

We use PDF's as downloadable/printable versions of guide sheets on our site. We use adobe PDF printer to turn standard word or html docs into PDF.

I've also been through this thread a few times and coan only come to the conclusion that the OP wants design work done rather the .pdf created. :)

Yeh, those figures are correct, which is very high and i will not pay. Thats why i am looking for another quote. £50 sounds alright for a few one offs and i would pay that, but for something in this quantity it is way too high. I have had other quotes and am now happy, and the price is way below this kind of figure!

Thanks
