Hope this is the right section for this, but....
I make up mosaic craft kits to sell. I cut the marble and board and supply the patterns. I then buy from craft shops the glue bottles, stirrer sticks etc and put them in.
I sell them as 'not suitable for children under 14 years' and have the standard choking hazard labels.
When I spoke to another person who makes some up too they said they had to send their kits off to be tested to ensure they were safe for children as the marketed them to that audience and wanted a CE label
I spoke to Trading Standards and they weren't too explicit with their answer when I asked them if I could still sell them if I had the not under 14 years warning. They said that if they 'appealed' to children, i.e. they were colourful designs, were of animals that children might like then I may have a potential problem if I don't get them tested.
Any opinions? Do I need to get all the contents tested? Thanks
