Hello

I was wondering what does courier companies use to optimise there route for saying up to 60 stops

We have been using MS autoroute now but this have stopped updating in 2013

Just wondering what's the other options

I rather buy the software right out then to pay monthly etc

Look at Geoplan based in Harrogate and Tactician (heavier-duty GIS and route optimiser from US resold by Geoplan), then going further up the food chain there's Mavenwire (specialising in Oracle Transportation Management) and Ubisense (specialising in PostGIS-based logistics systems).

I'm guessing, the last two are probably a bit over-engineered for your requirements though...
