Could you recommend me the best book you've ever read?

I went into the Kings Library at the British Museum, which has well over a 60.000 books in it, and it was really daunting to see them all, and to imagine someone might have taken time out to read them.

But it has to be The Bible, as it has more wisdom contained within it's pages, than all those 60.000 books put together.

For me, it's Roots by Alex Haley. Very powerful, makes me cry every time. You go through a huge number of different emotions while reading it; sadness and distress, anger, joy when the family wins its freedom, hope for the future that lessons may be learned from the mistakes of the past... it's all there. Beautiful, beautiful book. Highly recommended :)

Jonny Wilkinson's autobiography is the best autobiography I've ever read. Maybe the best book, aside from the Bible.

He had very challenging, mental issues that drove him to despair and injury and it helped me finally push through a rough patch of my own.

Helps that he's an idol too, I suppose

Utter crap, the Bible is simply a novel that's been taken out of context.

This book goes undisputed as having the most wisdom in it, and it's all based on truth and facts - unlike said Bible.

Just finished reading 4 books on Game of Thrones, differentt han the tv shows at least

You mean the TV show (which came after the books) is vastly different to the books?

I daren't watch much of the TV show because there's no way they could get it all in correctly.

Not sure if you ever read the Sword of Truth series, but TV utterly ruined the books.
