Can I use images, for example from a website like Vogue.com of fashion shows by ensuring I credit both Vogue and the photographer responsible on my blog? I'm guessing this isn't enough and I would need to get express permission etc but just wanted to check.

Just seems like there a lot of fashion bloggers out there who use fashion pics all the time but not sure how they get around it?

Thanks

A lot of fashion/celebrity stuff gets published on blogs without permission. Technically it is a breach of copyright but a lot of it is kind of put out in the knowledge that it will be used. More of a blind-eye policy than one of giving express permission.

The general rule of thumb is that nobody is going to sue you for promoting their work or product - but it is a very grey area. If you ask for written permission you'll very rarely get it.
