Contract Warehousing in Europe

I work for a nutritional supplements manufacturer in the US as an international sales manager. We are looking into the possibility of using a contract warehouse to store our goods in Europe so that we can optimize our logistics and cheapen costs for import fees, shipping, etc. Does anyone have any experience in how to research this or what are some reputable companies? Does anyone know which countries would be the easiest in regards to import fee, tariffs, and restrictions?

Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Luke

Hi Luke,

I work for a logistics company in Felixstowe. We have a warehouse in Felixstowe & we already use it as a european distribution hub for some of our clients. We clear the containers at Felixstowe (pay the Duty & VAT or bond the goods so Duty can be deferred to a later date - whichever works best for you) & then shunt the container to our warehouse (which is literally 100 yards from the dock exit so shunting charges are not expensive) for unloading.

We can then store, pick, pack & distribute around Europe as you require.

PM me if you would like to know more details.

Best regards
