Contract Cleaning, How to price?

Hi all

Firstly merry xmas to you all!

My wife and I have been running a contract cleaning company for a few months and it's going well so far. We have been dealing with domestic clients to start with but now we have our first enquiry from a commercial customer.

I'm finding it hard to price it, what is the best way? I've heard some companies price per sq ft. etc.

Any tips?

good question im in the middle of starting a domestic cleaning business but for commercial i would use the same method of pricing as with domestic cleaning per hour so you would need to work out the same for the commercial building how many cleaners and how many hours = price so hows the domestic side going

Hi,

personally i would find out some prices from competitors and see how they work out prices, then decide how much it will cost you to do the job (chemicals etc.) and then work out how much profit you want to make out of it. Then you should have your price.

But be careful because you price it too much and they'll go to a competitor, but too little and you will be virtually giving it away, and you don't want to do that :)

Hope this helps

I run a commercial cleaning company we have a set hourly rate based upon cost of staff, chemicals, type of work. The more speciliszed the work required the higher the rate. You can also be more competative by asking the client if they are going to supply equipment and chemicals or if you are required to.
