    **Felixstowe only at this point.

Port workers have been balloted and strike is due to take place in August.
The way things are going the whole country will be on strike soon if what I was hearing on the news yesterday is anything to go by. This really is coming at a bad time when many business's are struggling to get back on their feet. However I can also understand peoples frustration with pay plus the mess the country is in at present

.......the mess the country is in at present
This sort of sensationalist twaddle belongs in the gutters of Fleet Street. The UK economy was bound to go through a period of re-adjustment following Brexit, and the re-adjustment has been complicated by first the Pandemic and then the Ukraine War which is currently severely impacting on energy supplies and prices.
If any sound thinking business brain is not seeing this, and prefers to follow the depressive nonsense regurgitated by the tabloid press, best of luck to them. It is a time when the RISK element in business is high, and business owners are having to make decisions that are unpopular with customers and their workers alike, and little wonder there is some industrial unrest brewing.

Felixstowe is crap at the best of time. The port significantly lags behind other major deepwater ports globally. Striking will be an absolute disaster.

Distribute some of the huge profiteering to employees taken place by ports and ship owners over the pandemic, and let's all get back to work.

UK is one hell of a basket case.
