Hi,

This is my first post on UK business forums, with final testing on my Construction startup commencing this week, I wanted to meet other Construction companies starting up.
Currently, I have built a Construction Jobs Site designed around increased compliance, bettering candidate qualification and reaching more construction workers.
Currently, tests on my jobsite showed posts can reach as many 40,000 UK based construction workers, also reaching niche markets and attracting applicants from almost every trade, from blue to white collar.
I am not new to this industry, and have developed a site that I knew was different to what the current market offered.
The reason for the post is that I am looking to grow my connections with startups within the industry. It would be great to discuss with any construction related startups what we could do to help each other moving forward.
If its construction related, it would be great to hear from you.

Again, as this is my first post, I apologise if I have posted this message in the wrong thread or if this isn't relevant.

Um, how does a brand new site reach 40,000 workers when no one knows about it?

I've seen your comments on the site for a long time, regarding working in an industry you know well and not just jumping into an industry you don't fully understand.

And I couldn't agree more, online marketing and advertising within the Construction market is something I have done for the past 5 years, and something I am completely passionate about.

With this experience, I am able to share the web page and job posts into areas which attract a high amount of visitors. This is something I have been doing for years, so although my particular site may not have launched, the sharing of the posts show analytics of up to 40,000 views, depending on the job role.

Now, this site is in its developmental stage, which is why I am looking to connect with others looking to grow in construction, and see if we can help each other moving forwards.

Yeah, if you've already got an audience, whether it's social media, email lists, or through other means, then that's a great answer to the question.

Being able to tap into that is a great way to get your startup off the ground without spending tons on PPC advertising to jump start it.

One suggestion would be to go paid member. You can get your site reviewed, post on the UKBF marketplace, add links in sigs - at least I think you still can do all that as a paid member :)

Ever want to chat marketing - hit me up. A conversion wouldn't cost either of us more than a few minutes of time and we might both come away from it with some new insights or ideas!

I will look into a full membership, some of the stuff on this forum has really helped me out, even if only looking from an outside perspective. I'll send you a message in the coming weeks, looking at your profile and some of your comments there is definitely a few things I think you'll be able to advise me on, and I can show you how the site reaches mass construction workers. Thank you for help.
