Concert Tickets Lost in Post

I recently sold two tickets to a concert for next year on my personal eBay account to somebody who paid by bank transfer. I sent the tickets out weeks ago, standard delivery.

The buyer is claiming to have not received the concert tickets, is demanding a refund and is suggesting I have conned her. To be honest, I have been away from eBay for about a week, which doesn't help.

What do I do? I have the ticket numbers and they were standing tickets.

Unfortunately, you are responsible for the tickets until they receive them.

This means you will have refund the person and claim against RM. But as you only sent it standard 1st/2nd you will only get MAX 100 x 1st Class Stamp as a refund. If you insured the item you will get the insured amount upto RM max limit (not sure what that is)

Sorry but you should've insured it, if it's a large amount then you've lost it.

Agree with other comments. Sending tickets anything less than recorded delivery is just irresponsible (especially as there are some customers out there who might try on the "I never received them" story.)

Ring the venue up and cancel the tickets. Most places now scan the tickets so even if they do try and use them, they won't be able to get in.

See if it's possible to have them replaced.

You should be able to get the tickets re-issued to you if they were purchased in your name. Then once you have the tickets you can offer to re-send them to the customer (this time using a signed for service). If the customer is honest then they should agree to this resolution. If however they are trying it on, then get the tickets again (as above) BUT also inform the venue that you believe the first set were lost or stolen so the original tickets are now useless. You may choose to not tell the customer you have done this. Clearly you also refund the buyer.
