Company Search, Filter: ONE director only

Hi,

I contacted UK Companies House service with my inquiry about searching for UK companies and they didn't provide me appropriate solution. Would appreciate if someone could help:

I am looking for possibility (how and where) to search for UK business companies where in their updated registration files is strictly only one (1!) director/ceo. Trying to add such filter anywhere, it doesn't need to be website of UK Companies House only. It can be any other UK company search online place. The problem is that I am spending weeks on this and cannot find any companies with ONE director/ceo only. Everything I see are at least two persons in those company registration files.

Could anyone please tell me how, where can I apply described filter in my search?

Not sure if they have that particular search option but they generally have better functionality than CH site.

Thank you for your reply but they don't have this filter of search. I asked them.

You can buy these lists from people like marketing file. It may not be everyone but they do have an (expensive) list of sole directors. You may also fall foul of the fact that many businesses also show a Secretary, which is no longer a requirement - so they will show two "officers" but may only have one Director. Personally I am glad there is no easy way to find the information. The only people who could possibly want it are people who want to try and sell me something !
