Hi All

Hope you are well and staying safe.

I am about to formally set up a limited company and was wondering is there any particular benefit in using a formation agent?

I see they have a number of different 'packages' but is there really anything they do that you can't do yourself?

Is there anything particularly difficult which they do that can't be done DIY?

Thanks for your help.

No, no, no, no, no!!!

It's a piece of cake to setup - don't waste your money nor fall for the discounted stationary or virtual office nonsense.

First step in running your own business is registering it. If you can't manage that, don't even bother continuing with your idea.

    I can only echo this.

    And add "NO!"

I know people who spent £300 on a package and never made a profit before allowing the company to be struck off. I spend £8 for same-day basic formations personally, and its never hindered me in making money. There is no correlation between the frills these formation agents offer, and the chance of success of the business.
