Company Car Lease - are directors credit checked?

Basically, my wife is off to uni next month and we only have one car so I'm in need of a vehicle. We've been considering getting a small van for some time now but decided a small car would be more practical.

Anyway, having filed our first years accounts at companies house, I was wondering about applying for a company lease and the likelihood of it being accepted.

Ok thanks. I have considered the tax implications, yes, which is one of the reasons I originally wanted a van but there a various reasons why a car would be more practical.
