Hi,
Any body know of a way to recieve a commission or gross % for the amount of $ value of sales you give a particular company?

ok that sounds confusing. I will give an example.

I am a marketing company. I give Joe the electrician 3 sales leads (or phone calls) that make him $1000. If we had an agreement that he would pay me a % of gross sales (say 10%), how could I know or check that he actually did the work and made what he said he made ?

Just wondering what works in the real world? is there a better way to do it?

Cheers,
Ian

You can use an 'open book' system where you have the right to inspect his accounts, if they agree.

We work in telemarketing and lead generating, and sometimes get an element of commission payment. In most cases, we have to take it on trust that they accurately report thier sales, as we have little direct control once the lead is passed over.

It's one of the reasons we more commonly work on an hourly rate or per call basis.
