Sorry but that made no sense at all!

Essentially it means that finding good sales people who are willing to work on commission only sales is about as easy as finding the holy grail. There's really no incentive for good sales people to enter into that sort of agreement, the employee takes all the risks and receives very little back.

If you find someone good they expect you to put a bit of faith in them and give them a basic salary + commission.

Our average payout is around the £80 mark and do have 2 commission based sales agents.

I do understand basic wage is a must with this type of sales agent, but this climate that we are in you would think any sum of money would be a good incentive to sell.

Current climate

Petrol up 13p per litre since Christmas
Gas bills up 9 per cent in a year
Electricity up by 9 per cent
Rent rises 7 per cent
Food costs spiralling
Interest paid on savings = less than inflation
House prices stagnant

Any sum of money? I think not

I cannot believe that any commission only sales person worth there salt would work for an average payout of £80 ? May I ask how many sales a day, is average?

I'd be inclined to ask the agents you have at the moment if they can refer anyone to you. Possibly even offer an incentive for the referral. Most folk that have worked in sales know someone who may be tempted to come and work for the right package.

I do stress though, the right package

I wonder how your existing sellers would feel knowing you don't agree with their current pay scheme :p

Many people go through different phases of sleep, there are several phases, one is REM during this period of sleep you are most likely to dream, there you shall find the people you seek.

Sorry!

To clarify, i meant you will find them in your dreams as there is not enough money in cloud storage sales to find good sales people.

P.S. you can get Cloud storage for free these days so I knew there would be poor pay and the rates will only drop as the service declines in worth with hosting companies offering it as part of domains, all tech gets cheaper and cloud storage is starting at a low point already

Now re read my first post and you will see it makes perfect sense:D

I appreciate what has been written above, but about more niche B2B services, do you think there could be some potential in this? If so, what are the best places to look for such people?

The package we offer is commission-only, however, we do not talk about one-off sales. If a client buys a service, it is normally a medium to long-term contract, hence more money for a sales.

PS: I dreamt a lot, beasty.;-)
