.com domain forwarding to .co.uk site

I've done a search for similar threads but the only ones I found were from 2005 and 2008 and things may have changed since then.

I have a .co.uk site and the .com domain forwarding to the .co.uk site. I read a recent SEO article that this could affect rankings on google.

Provided the .com is forwarded properly it shouldnt pose too much of an issue. What you might want to consider is if you are planning on expanding outside of the UK, the .com may have been the wiser choice.

I got the .com domain from Easily and they offer a web forwarding option and this points to my .co.uk site.

I don't plan to sell outside of the UK so not too worried about that at the moment.

Your site redirection looks to be set up just fine. It returns .co.uk addresses which is what you want it to do. Similarly a "site:" check shows everything indexed under .co.uk and nothing under .com which is also correct.

If you're at all concerned you might - and you haven't already done so - want to submit the .co.uk site to Google using Webmaster tools.

But, basically you're fine! Unless you are based in America...

Yes this should be fine.

You could also put some unique text on the .com site and link to your .co.uk site
