Coaching & Marketing

Hi all,

I've not long found this forum and it looks great, so before I get carried away with posting I guess I should introduce myself. I used to be a marketing/business manager before I was made redundant earlier this year. I then set about trying to work out my life purpose having become disillusioned with the whole working-for-someone-else thing....in fact..working-damn-hard-for-someone-else-and-not-getting-the-reward thing!! I also felt that in my role I was essentially trying to get people to buy more stuff (beauty & personal care products). I also found that constantly striving to help the Asdas, Tescos & Boots of this world to get more share than each other was actually a bit shallow (took me a while, I know!). So I've taken the summer off to find my path in life and it's been a great journey. I've been through god knows how many business ideas, done a lot of soul searching, been to interviews that don't really inspire me and I think I'm getting there. I decided to do an intro coaching course and that REALLY inspired me. So much so that I'm now studdying for a qualification in both Business Coaching and Personal Performance Coaching. It's brilliant, because an integral part of this is to coach yourself first!! Well, everybody would benefit from having a coach, me included!!

So, that's where I am for now. I am also very keen to draw on my 10 years of marketing/business, retail & product development experience and maybe offer business/marketing type consultancy services too. I'm still trying to finalise that bit! I still do have business ideas that i work through and do research for and I think I'm going to have to scratch that itch at some point! We'll see. So, what can you expect from me here? Well, any advice/suggestions/2-pennies on any of the above I guess. In the meantime, if you have any ideas that you may want to suggest, I would love to hear them! Until then, Happy Times!!

Hi Lex and welcome to the forums

I'm sure that everyone here would love to help you to develop your business and elso would like to avail themselves in your areas of expertise.

The difficult part is to decide what type of business you would like to start and what skills you are missing to run it succesfully. At least then you can plan to obtain those skills either by learning them(the long way) or acquiring/outsourcing them (The smart way):D

Look forward to seeing your posts:)
