Hi
My friend and I are trying to launch a gymwear brand. The aim of the brand is to provide functional as well as fashionable gymwear that can be worn both in and out of the gym. We have all our designs, trademarks tech sheets etc and we are currently in the sample stage of the process. We have only ever spoken with one manufacturer and they are the people we have moved to sampling with. I know this is not an ideal thing to do and in hindsight, we would have looked around more than we did but our MOQ’s didn’t give us much option so we went with the people who were happy with smaller amounts.
To my question… despite being at the sampling stage, we are not happy with our current supplier. They appear to have lost interest in our brand and moved onto other clients. We have been delayed several times and almost 6 months after making payment for the samples, we still have nothing to show. Based on this service, we are hoping to find a more efficient supplier who can pick up from where we have left off. The only sticking point is our MOQ. We had agreed on 100 items per style with our current supplier and that 100 would be made up of varying sizes. Although the MOQ per style is quite small, we do have around 30 styles so the number of items in the order will be upwards of 3000.
I do not want to name the current supplier as I don’t think it’s appropriate. Can anyone help with the above or pass me the details of someone who can. I accept we may have to start the sampling stage again which are prepared to do.
Thanks
Hussein
