Hi,

I usually close about 70% - its getting to the point of a meeting in the first place thats the difficult part! Being in a similar business to you I guess you might have the sale issues. Its hard to market this kind of service professionally without spending masses on advertising, and I find that from initial contact to signing a deal takes an average of 2-3 months. Once a meeting has been established its fairly easy to convince the client of the benefits.

ps - will give you a ring early next week if ok? (at home with the kids today, 1st day of summer hols!!)

not at all, its fine, i just wanted to know what you meant by it. The diea of this thread is to see what peoples closing skills are like, it may be something i and others can help with, i thought that was the idea of the forum, what did you think i meant by it, as i get a feeling it may come across differently to others, but im not sure how.

Hi,

Were you referring to your telemarketing services & pay per lead? We offer high end account penetration, including campaign design, mailshot creation and appointment setting. We also do a lot of work for european companies looking to get into the UK market, so we include a market survey etc. Plus we offer customer retention services and sales & negotiation training materials to larger companies.
We like to ensure that we know everything possible about our clients business before we take on a project, then we prepare a full proposal for them and we carry out a pilot study.
Its only then that we sign a contract (providing they are happy with everything)
This is why it takes 2-3 months on average to close a deal.

I'm always refreshing my own sales & negotiation training so I agree that even the best closers need refresher courses!
In the middle of my post grad CIM marketing qualification right now though so cant fit in any training!
