Closing a business down within a year from opening

Hi there,

Could someone help me please? I opened my business 1st Oct 2012 and I am now closing it down. What else do I need to do other than informing Companies House and Corporation Tax? I didn't make any profit just loss in the last year and I am not sure what other things I have to sort out to make it legally closed.

After applying for the company the company to be dissolved by Companies House you should ensure that the bank account is closed asap as the bank will freeze it when the company is dissolved and you will lose any funds in it.
