Hi All

Just after general opinions please, the company supplies websites to a very specific target audience:

a) is it a good idea (for marketing or just in general) to include a map on a website to show how many (or where) your customers/clients are, with links to their websites as a sort of portfolio?
b) if so, would each customers consent need to be gained to include them on this client map?
and c) has a map like this ever influenced your decision to buy/order from a particular supplier based on how many customers it shows that they have, or their most populated region etc..

Thanks, Adrian

A. If you're not sure if it's a good idea, try an A/B/N test using Analytics Experiments. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1745147?hl=en

B. You probably don't need any consent from a legal point of view. But it's always nice to be asked. Think about how you'd feel if you appeared on a supplier's website without their permission.

C. Doesn't apply to me personally, so can't answer, but I suspect it would have a beneficial impact. Refer to point A :)

Cheers, Gordon
