Christmas Freebies??

We always do something for our customers that adds value to the gesture. Long gone are the days a calendar or a pen will work.

Your budget will determine what you can do but try to be creative.

Last year we sent everybody on our books the winning x-factor CD, whilst it was not everybody's cup of tea it got the tongues wagging and after all it was for charity. A win win for us!

As it was a charity record, could you write off the cost of buying in CD's as a charitable donation?

I believe the following applies

"Charitable donations can't be used to create or increase your company's trading losses, and they can't be carried over from year to year"

In this case I do not believe relief can be given but don't qoute me.

Hi All,

Went to a show last week at the NEC, there were some amazing incentives and freebies you could get carried away. I got a freebie brushed metal business card holder, but the item that got me time and time again was the Cupcakes on the stall - works of art they were and being in a creative industry, and the season of goodwill all my customers will have a hand crafted cupcake (in a festive case) for £1.50 each.

I'm even thinking of going cold calling with them??

Thanks

Chris
