Christmas fete fund raising ideas

Hi, My mum is on a committee looking at how to raise funds for various events and clubs around for Christmas. They don't have much space (just a village hall). The ideas put forward so far are;
Bran-tub
cake stall
tombola
bottle stall
santa

All of which will raise money, but are not very inspired. If anyone has any ideas for a Christmas time 'do' that doesn't require much space or a high £ outlay I would be really grateful.

I have read about charities holding mystery dinners, you can look up what a mystery dinner is, it sounds like fun!

Check the fundraising sections on the websites of large charities such as NSPCC and Banardo's. They usually list lots of ideas for events and may give you some inspiration.

An auction of promises is always good fun, and can be done alongside some other sort of fundraising event.
