Bought 2 images from www.canstockphoto.com the other day. Worked out to £2.55 very cheap. Was Impressed. Looked at my banking online i got a £1.50 card fee on top

I was not informed through the checkout there was a "service Charge" as it showed on my statment.

Arent they suppose to inform you on the site checkout :|

I was under the impression that, by law, they must disclose ALL charges. Have you checked all the Ts & Cs?.

They're probably not trying to rip you off, just being a little careless.

The site seems to bill in dollars - are you sure it's not your bank that has applied the charge for the conversion from USD > GBP?

Thats absoulty outrageous that the British banks are charging that amount or order from overseas, something needs to be done about that.

everytime they do anything about banks or there's mass complaints about some charge they simply find another way to include hidden charges. The pay big bonsues to bankers who come up with these schemes.

The best workaround for you is to get a pre-paid credit card which does not charge for top-ups, load the amount on that and pay with that.

Most pre-paid cards dont have a loading fee for foreign transactions, but check first

paypal is also pretty good for this kind of thing I think

nationwide have a no foreign transaction policy, I use that card or paypal.
