Cheapest payment processor for American Express

Hi All,

Need some advice on which payment processor is the best for processing american express card payments in terms of lowest fees.

Any recommendations please?

You can apply for a merchant ID with American Express directly or via an acquiring bank, if you are also setting up for Visa, MasterCard etc (or adding Amex to an existing account). The rates for Amex via our acquiring bank partners are currently 1.9%

Stripe is 1.4% + 20p for UK/EU with AMEX included, have you already looked at them?
