Cheaper Postage...

Thanks guys - i think royal mail is the best way to go

I decided against the fullfilment companies as i can pack and transport the items myself - thats the easy bit - id rather spent budget on SEO/marketing/advertising but thanks for your input fullfill_co.

I have now set up my OBA account online and am quite happy with the service - also i can send parcels that i sell on ebay and on both my websites in the same accounts which definately means i will cross over the threshold.

Thanks again for the help and advice as always

Have you tried different couriers ?
I had a visit from a rep for Fastway couriers, this week, they have a minimum spend to start, but they seem cheap to me, they pick up with next day delivery.

There's only 12 Depots running now, with not much chance of the old ones re-opening due to the damage caused with old customers, so most existing depot's parcels are getting onforwarded, which means the RF's are'nt makin as much and the CF's are making hardly anything.
A few franchisee's who I have spoken to recently tell me, a majority of their remaining customers are spending as little as possible with them because of the uncertainty surrounding them.
I generally feel sorry for these courier franchisee's who have spent a lot of money, time and hard work providing this service which has been torn apart by the money grabbing con men higher up !!!:|

We run a retail website and we use a company called Transpar. They're simply excellent and have a very clever business model where they consolidate lots of small businesses volumes to get great rates from carriers and the put a small premium for their troubles but it means the likes of us get better rates than we could ourselves.

worth a look transpar.co.uk

As I recall the member in question accusued you of spamming whit you admiitted even thougfh it is against therules which you seem to take so liightly. No self-promotion mean no commercial and that applies to everyone.

You have already poked your fingers up to the moderator's once then and then go on to call the member a '<<<Edited>>>'. Totally unacceptable in any company and certainly not a business community.

All in all I would choose your words carefully in future because you ain't no immortal buddy and it wouldn't even matter if your were because as I recall it it Zues cut off his fathers willy wonker and threw it into the sea.

Always looking to reduce my delivery costs - I'll give these people a call.

However, their website is a little sparse on detail - can you give me any idea of what you pay for, say, a 5Kg parcel to the UK?

Many thanks

Jeff
