Cheap Mobile Telephone

Can anyone reccomend a cheap mobile provider (not a huge volume user, looking for a cheap package with inclusive minutes & text)

Cheers
Graham

p.s. sure someone posted a great deal the other week but I can't remember which forum, sorry.

I have a really really cheap deal, I am with Orange and I pay usually about £80 for a year, sometimes they do 15 months for that price. I am a long term customer and the tariff used to be called Plan-a-head, that got scraped then they put me on a tariff called the Virgin tariff and that is with Orange (confusing as you could think that was on the Virgin network) this does not include inclusive minutes or texts, but the call charges are cheap anyway.

Alternatively try a payg deal. I just got (for my mum) a Siemens C65 for £49.99 on Orange - it is an entry level camera phone, and is the cheapest deal I could find, that is from the carphone warehouse.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Although a multi-service utility provider rather than concentrated on mobile phones, the Utility Warehouse Discount Club offer a simple mobile phone tariff where you can get a phone for £10 line rental per month, then all calls to all networks at any time are 8p/min, and all texts are 7p. This has be recommeded by the Which magazine.

The beauty of this tariff is you only pay for what you use, and you are not charged punative rates for exceeding your "free" minutes.

You can also save more money by getting you home phone, gas and electric supplier by them, and this all comes on a single fully itemised bill each month.

You can find out more at www.ukutility.co.uk

Hope this is useful.

Hello there! We have 2 simple tariffs, FreeCall and ValueCall. Choose FreeCall for yourself, your friends and family and you can call each other for free whenever you want (not just evenings and weekends). Our ValueCall tariff is simple, cheap and outstanding value for money.

FreeCall
This is a great tariff for families & friends that call each other on a regular basis as on this tariff they can call each other for FREE.
* FreeCall is £10 per month for SIM only customers & £14 for customers wishing to take one of our Free handsets, this gives customers free calls to each other.
* FreeCall+ costs £12 per month for SIM only & £16 for free handset customers, this gives Free calls to each other & unlimited Free texts.
* FreeCall++ is £14 per month for SIM only & £18 for free handset customers, this gives Free calls to each other, unlimited Free texts & Free calls to any Utility Warehouse Discount Club member.
Calls to other mobiles are 30p & texts to other mobiles are 4.7p to FreeCall users & 11.75p to other mobiles.

Valuecall
For people that call other mobiles & have a tariff including free minutes. Often these people do not use their minutes every month or they go over what they are using so either wasting their tariff by paying too much or by going over & paying a fortune. Well this tariff charges them only for the minutes & texts that they actually use so they will never under or over use their mobiles. Tariff is £8 per month for SIM only or from £9 to £25 depending on the Free handset should they take one, calls are just 8p per minute cross network & 7p for texts cross network & just 8p for UK residential numbers too.

SIM
Customers taking a SIM only will pay the cheapest tariffs. Remember that whenever a customer has a SIM card

Yes, I agree Virgin are amongst the cheapest.

T-Mobile offer special reduced tariffs for small businesses. I've just found this one on their website: 3000 daytime minutes for £15 a month + VAT. There's others you might want to check out as well.

But the 3000 minutes do not include calls to other networks.

You might find a site i read about in todays Express useful.
