cheap advertising

we are thinking of offering a number of free business listings for a year worth hundreds of pounds, so it's buy a year and get 1 free, + 10% off.

This seems like a good offer to me, because for 2 years it will cost roughly about the same as a couple of months similar businesses offer.

I just wondered if this seemed reasonable

we are not long established, there are 3 prices which as you appear higher in the results the more it costs.

Based on a free year and saving 10% it costs from £1.00 - £3.00 per week.

I think that this is reasonable, but if you think it would be hard to get businesses signed up then i would like your thoughts

Like Will has said above it depends on what media it will be through, also what traffic/exposure you provide.

You maybe cheap compared to the big players but would I get the same exposure through you?? Will I reach my target audience?? those are the type of questions companies will be asking themsleves.

Sometimes it's not just about cost.

Hi Ruud

The online advertising game is tough.

Offering free will establish marketshare, but will customers be happy to start paying after free period.

We offer a FREE product but then customer can upgrade to a higher package and pay more. Offer great service and value for money and customers will upgrade. Dont go down hard-selling/upgrading route as this will just turn people off.

Hope this helps.
