Hi all

Looking at a recent post, a reply mentioned about contacting the Chamber of Commerce, can this help if a person is organizing a fundraising event?

I am getting together a fundraiser for the Help for Heroes charity in my local area of Thanet in Kent on the 23rd August, I already have my authorization event number from them. Because I am working from out of a small budget, I will be asking for donations for the raffle, any stallholders and generally anyone that would like to help, . But I am wondering what role the C of C can make regarding my planned event.

Many thanks in advance for any advice given and best wishes x :D

If you are a member of the Chamber or the company you work for is a member, you could see if they might promote your event on their website, member magazine or newsletter, if it is an event that their members might be interested in attending or donating something towards. Why don't you contact them to see what help they might be able to offer?

You could also approach your local media to promote your event and if you need volunteers to help with event, you can approach your local voluntary services organisation to see if they will promote your volunteer vacancies.
